Our aims and objectives:
- Inform and educate as many of Frome’s residents as possible about the Mayday Saxonvale plan
- Encourage as many local people as possible to sign up in support of Mayday Saxonvale on the Mendip Planning Portal
- Take part in events and activities to increase awareness of the Mayday Saxonvale plan and what it means for Frome
What does being on the Street Team involve?
As a member of the Mayday Street Team, you will be invited to attend regular meetings to share your ideas and to create actions for publicising the Mayday Saxonvale plan. Actions might include jobs like delivering flyers around your local neighbourhood, putting up posters in public spaces or helping to host an information sharing event to raise awareness of the campaign.
We already have a huge amount of supporters online, but there’s a large amount of the Frome community who may not be aware of what is happening with Saxonvale. We need your help to let them know.
The role of the Mayday Street Team is to ensure that all these additional Fromies are made aware and kept informed of what is happening with Saxonvale and given the opportunity to share their views on how it is developed. As a Mayday Street Team volunteer, it is your role to inform people about the Mayday Saxonvale plan and to gain their support.
We are now at a crucial point in the campaign and the future of Frome is hanging in the balance. As Frome residents, we now have a choice about the kind of town centre that we want and it is integral to the Mayday Saxonvale campaign that as many people as possible get their voices heard.
