Frome Town Council: Public Engagement Meeting

Public Engagement Meeting on behalf of Mayday Saxonvale Development Ltd

Frome Town Council (FTC) hosted a public engagement meeting to discuss the alternative planning application made by Mayday Saxonvale Development Ltd. The meeting was held on Thursday 2nd December from 7.00pm – 8:30pm at Frome Town Hall.

Mayday Saxonvale submitted an outline application for the Saxonvale site in Frome and this is open for comment on the Mendip Planning Portal. Their alternative masterplan offers a mixed-use regeneration proposal comprising of a town centre extension, with employment space, a primary school, distinctive residential neighbourhoods, and the preservation and reuse of historic structures and buildings.

This hybrid meeting was an opportunity for residents and businesses to engage with the applicants and for Frome Town Council to hear the views of the community which will help to inform FTC’s formal response to the application.

At the meeting, the proposals were presented by:

Stories (Development Partner) – Richard Meier, Paul Clark, James Scott

Mayday Saxonvale – Paul Oster, Damon Moore

Andrew Kirby Architects – Andrew Kirby

StudioSaar – Jonny Buckland
