Our Governance and Delivery Structure
Mayday Saxonvale Development Ltd (“Mayday Saxonvale”) is a Company Limited by Guarantee, prioritising community interests over profit. Mayday Saxonvale is led by two Directors who will continue to provide day-to-day leadership supported by the new Non-Executive Directors, a small core communications and engagement team, and Stories, a highly experienced development management team.
Operationally, the development will be delivered by a subsidiary of Mayday Saxonvale, the Saxonvale Development Company (SDC), which will be structured as a normal company limited by shares. This structure enables SDC to receive investment and operate commercially. Profits from SDC will be returned to Mayday Saxonvale and any investors in project phases.
As the scheme progresses, a range of buildings, spaces, and the wider public realm will be transferred to community ownership. The Mayday board will be responsible for establishing the ownership structure, governance, and operational management of these assets to ensure they deliver the best possible outcomes for the town at the point of delivery, and for generations to come.
